Ug-Opposition Parties Unite or Die

Each opposition party vying for each parliamentary by-election seat is surely a path to defeat for all opposition parties. The overriding aim for each opposition party should not be a parliamentary seat here or there, but a defeat of the NRM. If they were smart, UPC, DP, FDC and others would form a pre-election pact and divvy up any and all available seats, by-election and otherwise, such that a single best or most likely to win candidate is put forward to face the all-powerful, bottomlessly funded candidates of the ruling NRM. Do they have eyes? Can they see?
